Young Moms

Young Moms is a creatively-named um, club?, group?, loose alliance?, of young moms (mostly college-educated SAHMS) who live in SoCal and go to the same conservative Episcopal church. We meet in the park every week so the kids can run their wiggles out and we can talk to people who form sentences with more than three words. And now we blog together too!

Carseat Questions

Hi All,
Do any of you have recommendations for carseats? Which are safe, etc. ?
Rinn gets close to changing over so I want to be prepared. Where did you get your next carseat? How much did it cost? Where are resources to find out which ones are safe?

I'm missing you all!!! I hope you're all doing well.

    From what I've read, Britax car seats are probably the safest. However, they were completely out of our price range. :( When we chose ours, we made sure that it had a five point harness (believe it or not, they don't all have them!) checked the weight guidelines, and made sure that we understood exactly how to install it into our car. Then we bought the one we could afford. So far it has served us well.

    And of course NOW I can't remember the manufacturer. I'll try to get back to you about that.
